Why I Built This App
Back in 2023, I attended the European Bartender School's International Bartending Course. Every day, we learned new cocktail recipes โ until, by the end of the course, we had to recall all 66 from memory in a final exam. To help me study and keep track of them, I built a Notion database: every recipe, every ingredient, neatly catalogued.
I kept using it for years whenever I was mixing drinks at home. But over time, it started showing its limits. The more recipes I added, the harder it became to answer the most basic question: what can I actually make right now? Notion isn't built for this โ the navigation is clunky, browsing feels slow, and it just gets in the way when all you want to do is find a recipe quickly.
After building ClutterFree Expenses, I knew exactly what I wanted to tackle next. The pattern was the same: a personal workflow stuck inside a general-purpose tool, waiting to become something purpose-built. So I did just that.
